Urban Dictionary defines daycation as, "A day trip. A day long vacation." Thank you for that, Urban Dictionary. We all get it now. Urban Dictionary was also kind enough to give us a conversational example using the term daycation to further clarify the meaning.

Bill: Oh, the girlfriend and I took a daycation to six flags.

As for us, we all are in desperate need of daycations. Memorial Day weekend is the perfect long weekend to plan one.
Yesterday my daycation consisted of rollerblading on the Huntington Beach boardwalk, Mexican food at Senor Fred's-- right at the Huntington Beach pier, sun-tanning on the beach, more rollerblading, cocktails and appetizers to end the day at the Hilton Waterfront. With that said, plan a daycation for yourself today and thank me later.
